Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle rhythmic pumping massage that moves the skin in the direction of the lymph flow. All of our physiotherapists are qualified and full members of MLD Ireland.
This massage is both preventative and therapeutic and aims to:
- Relieve fluid congestion - swollen legs due to pregnancy
- Help to control Lymphoedma
- Promote healing of wounds and burns
- Improve the appearance of scars and helps to minimise stretch marks
- Relieve fluid congestion post surgery – C Section, plastic surgery, liposuction
- Also works on the Nervous System – reducing stress and improving sleep patterns
